Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LADOTD)

Bossier and Caddo Parishes, LA

ECM is serving as the Construction Quality Control Firm (CQCF) for this $361 Million Design-Build Project to construct a new 4-lane bridge crossing Red River on LA Hwy 511 between Bossier and Caddo Parishes. The Bridge structure will have four major piers crossing the river and fourteen spans providing access to the adjacent parkways. Roadway work will include reconstruction of LA 511 into a median separated corridor and construction of ADA compliant bicycle and pedestrian facilities. After the new structure is completed, the existing LA 511 bridge will be rehabilitated and repurposed as a Linear Parkway, providing pedestrian access to existing and new parish trails on both sides of the river. (Clyde-Fant Parkway and Arthur Ray Teague Parkway).

The work includes pile-driving, drilled shafts, cofferdams, prestressed concrete girders, steel girders, concrete barrier railing; at-grade roadway including earthwork, subbase and base, drainage, utilities relocation, PCC Pavement, Asphaltic Concrete pavement; roadway, and bridge lighting. The rehabilitation of the existing structure will consist of structural repairs, sandblasting, and painting operations prior to installing the linear park.
