ECM Consultants, Inc. was founded by Ujjal DasGupta, a Civil Engineer whose life journey embodies determination, discipline, and a deep commitment to excellence. Born and educated in India, Ujjal built his career from humble beginnings, guided by hard work and a belief that education and perseverance could overcome any obstacle. After immigrating to the United States in 1976, and helping to build several other engineering firms, Ujjal founded ECM in 1995 with a vision and commitment to deliver dependable, innovative, and community-focused engineering solutions.
What began as a small venture with only 2 employees has grown into a respected, minority-owned firm serving clients across Louisiana. Today, ECM brings together a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, managers, and inspectors who share Ujjal’s passion for quality and integrity. With over thousands of projects completed and over 90% exceptional performance rating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ECM is trusted by federal, state, and local partners for its responsiveness, reliability, and results.
