April Falcon-Villa is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Louisiana. She earned her BS and MS degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of New Orleans. She also received her Risk Management Certification from Notre Dame of Maryland University. April began her career as a Structural Engineer at Lanier & Associates, NOLA and later accepted a similar position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in 2001.
At the USACE, her career afforded her opportunities to serve our great state and our nation. April also traveled the world delivering USACE’s global mission with Operation Iraqi Freedom and Hurricane Maria Disaster Relief in Puerto Rico. Her local contribution can be seen in the award-winning Inner Harbor Navigation Canal – Surge Barrier Project where she served as the Construction Project Engineer on the largest Civil Works Design-Build Project in USACE history.
April joins ECM Consultants, after retiring from the USACE with 24-yrs of service. With ECM Consultants, April’s focus is on Project Management, Quality Control and Business Development. She plans to continue working on local infrastructure projects that improve our lives and community. Her Team-of-Teams experience will truly benefit ECM, and their clients ensure best-in-class collaboration, communication and cooperation.
April grew up on “the best bank” and is the proud mother to Jackson and Hudson and wife to Bridget since 2008. She lives an active lifestyle playing in the Mom’s Softball League, runs an occasional half-marathon, and contributes to her kids’ academic, music and athletic endeavors at The Willow School.
